1. Accepted Payment Methods

Urbanriseapparel offers a variety of secure, convenient payment options to accommodate all customers. All transactions are processed in United States Dollars (USD). The following payment methods are accepted at checkout on https://urbanriseapparel.shop/.

Note: Urbanriseapparel does not charge any surcharge or processing fee for any payment method. The total you see at checkout (product subtotal + $6.99 shipping + applicable taxes) is the final amount charged.

2. How Payment Is Processed

Payment is authorized at the time you place your order. However, your credit card or PayPal account is not charged immediately in most cases. The sequence is as follows:

1. Authorization Hold: When you click “Place Order,” your payment provider places a temporary authorization hold on the funds. This verifies that the payment method is valid and has sufficient funds. The hold typically appears as “pending” on your statement.
2. Order Processing: Urbanriseapparel begins handling your order (1 business day handling time). The authorization hold remains in place.
3. Capture at Shipment: Your payment is only captured (fully charged) when your order is shipped. This occurs after the handling period, usually within 1-2 business days of order placement. You will receive a shipping confirmation email at the same time.

If you cancel your order before shipment (see Cancel/Change Order Policy), the authorization hold is released within 3-7 business days depending on your bank. No actual charge occurs.

3. Payment Security & PCI Compliance

Urbanriseapparel takes payment security seriously. We are fully PCI DSS (Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard) compliant and use industry-leading security measures:

• SSL/TLS Encryption: All payment information is transmitted over 256-bit encrypted connections (look for the padlock icon in your browser).
• Tokenization: Your full credit card number is never stored on Urbanriseapparel servers. Instead, our payment processors (Stripe, Shopify Payments, PayPal) replace sensitive data with a unique digital token.
• 3D Secure (Verified by Visa / Mastercard SecureCode): For certain transactions, you may be prompted to authenticate via your bank’s two-factor authentication system. This adds an extra layer of fraud protection.
• Fraud Monitoring: Automated systems screen orders for suspicious patterns (e.g., mismatched billing/shipping addresses, unusually high quantities). If a transaction is flagged, our fraud team may contact you for verification before processing.

4. PayPal Payment Details

When you select PayPal at checkout, you will be redirected to PayPal’s secure login page. After logging in, you may choose to pay from your PayPal balance, linked bank account, or credit/debit card stored in PayPal.

PayPal Purchase Protection: All transactions made through PayPal are eligible for PayPal’s Buyer Protection program. If you do not receive your item or it arrives significantly different than described, PayPal may reimburse you up to the full purchase amount. This protection is in addition to Urbanriseapparel’s own Return & Refund Policy.

Guest Checkout with PayPal: You do not need a PayPal account to use PayPal. Select “Pay with Debit or Credit Card” on the PayPal login page to enter your card details directly. PayPal will process the payment without creating an account.

Billing Agreement: If you choose to save your PayPal account for future purchases, Urbanriseapparel will create a billing agreement. You may cancel this agreement at any time via your PayPal account settings.

5. Apple Pay & Google Pay

These digital wallets allow you to check out without manually entering your card or shipping details. They are available on compatible devices and browsers.

• Apple Pay: Available on Safari browser for iOS (iPhone, iPad) and macOS (Mac with Touch ID or Apple Watch). Your actual card number is never shared with Urbanriseapparel – a device-specific token is used.
• Google Pay: Available on Chrome browser for Android devices, as well as desktop Chrome when you are signed into your Google account with saved payment methods.

Both Apple Pay and Google Pay transactions are protected by your device’s biometric authentication (Face ID, Touch ID, fingerprint, or PIN). Refunds for purchases made via digital wallets are credited back to the same digital wallet (which then transfers to your linked card or bank account).

6. Shop Pay

Shop Pay is an accelerated checkout service provided by Shopify, our e‑commerce platform. When you use Shop Pay for the first time, you enter your shipping and payment information. On subsequent purchases, you can check out with one click.

Shop Pay Installments: For orders between $50 and $3,000, Shop Pay offers the option to pay in 4 interest‑free installments every 2 weeks. This option appears at checkout if available. Eligibility is determined by Shopify’s payment partner (Affirm). Late fees may apply if you miss a payment. Urbanriseapparel does not control or receive additional fees from this service.

Data Security: Shop Pay stores your payment information with strong encryption and uses tokenization. You can delete saved payment methods at any time from your Shop Pay account.

7. Urbanriseapparel Digital Gift Cards

Gift cards are available for purchase on our Site in any amount between $10 and $500. They are delivered instantly via email to the recipient (or to you, if purchasing for yourself).

• Redemption: Enter the unique gift card code at checkout. The card value is applied to your order total. Any remaining balance stays on the card for future purchases.
• No Expiration: Urbanriseapparel gift cards never expire.
• Non‑Refundable: Gift cards cannot be returned or exchanged for cash except where required by law (e.g., California, certain other states).
• Lost or Stolen Cards: Treat gift cards like cash. We cannot replace a gift card if the code is lost or stolen without proof of purchase and the original email.

8. Billing Address & AVS Verification

To prevent fraud, Urbanriseapparel uses the Address Verification System (AVS) for credit card transactions. AVS compares the numeric portion of your billing address (street number and ZIP code) with the information on file at your card‑issuing bank.

If the AVS check fails (e.g., mismatch of street number or ZIP), your order may be flagged for manual review. You will receive an email requesting verification. If we cannot verify your billing address within 24 hours, the order may be canceled and you will be asked to place a new order with corrected information.

To avoid AVS mismatches: Always enter your billing address exactly as it appears on your credit card statement. Use the standardized address format (e.g., “St” not “Street” unless specified).

9. Currency & International Credit Cards

All transactions on Urbanriseapparel are processed in United States Dollars (USD). If you use a credit card issued outside the United States, your card issuer may apply a foreign transaction fee (typically 1-3%). Urbanriseapparel does not control or receive these fees. We recommend checking with your bank before placing an order.

International cards (including Canadian, UK, EU, Australian, and Asian issuers) bearing the Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover, JCB, or Diners Club logos are accepted, provided your bank allows cross‑border transactions. However, we only ship to addresses within the United States (including APO/FPO).

10. Payment Declined or Error – What to Do

If your payment is declined at checkout, you will see an error message. Common reasons and solutions:

If you continue to experience issues, email support@urbanriseapparel.shop with a screenshot of the error and your order number (if any). Do not send credit card numbers via email.

11. Split Tender (Gift Card + Credit Card)

Urbanriseapparel allows you to use a gift card in combination with another payment method. At checkout, enter your gift card code first. The gift card balance will be applied, and any remaining balance can be paid with a credit card, PayPal, or digital wallet.

Example: Your order total is $75. You have a $30 gift card. Apply the gift card → remaining $45 due. You may then pay $45 with Visa, PayPal, etc.

If the gift card covers the entire order, no additional payment method is required.

The version in effect at the time of your purchase applies to your transaction.
